Domain names

The domain names are strings of characters that allow you to achieve a given web space, or site.

The registration of domain name confers on its owner the right to associate the name to a specific web space, as a site.

If the domain extension is a national symbol, like ".it" for Italy, the registration must be carried out at the National Authority for the Registration of the specific country.

For other types of domain names, the registration must be done with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). 

The registration of domain name can last in perpetuity, subject to payment of annual renewal fees.

For the registration of a domain name with a specific extension, as for example .com, .net, .org, .it, .eu, the same name must not have been already registered with the same extension, anywhere in the world, and should not be similar or equal to a registered trademark in the same country.

- Domains registration at the Italian Domain Registration Authority, and payment of the relative renewal fees.

- Domains registration at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and payment of the relative renewal fees.
